Christine Hair Care: Launch

Client: Van Thomas Concepts
In 2013, renowned hairstylist Van Thomas founded Van Thomas Concepts and introduced a groundbreaking hair care line in tribute to his late daughter, Christine. The MrKiki team was proud to partner with him, developing a comprehensive 360° brand and product strategy to bring his vision to life. We worked closely with Van to refine the brand’s core value propositions, highlight key product differentiators, and build a compelling launch roadmap. This included designing product brochures, prototyping the company’s website, and shaping the brand’s visual identity.

Mr. Kiki kicked off the project with a deep and thoughtful dive into Van Thomas’s vision for his new hair care line. In close partnership with our team – and in collaboration with the marketing agency Distillery Project – we delivered a comprehensive suite of services: Context Analysis, Brand Strategy, Brand Identity, and Brand Positioning. These strategic pillars laid the groundwork for a compelling brand presence and a standout business plan deck. The final logo served as a touching tribute to the real Christine, Van’s late daughter, rendered as a simple yet elegant signature that beautifully honored her legacy.

In 2014, the Christine product line officially launched, garnering national attention with appearances on Extra, Fox News, BET, and other major outlets. The line quickly gained traction, receiving organic endorsements from well-known entertainment personalities who connected with its story and quality. More than just a product launch, it became a heartfelt movement – celebrating resilience, love, and the power of purpose-driven innovation.
